Birth & Infancy[]

Not much is known about the first months of Isaac's life. He was born to human peddlers somewhere in Kalimdor one year following the conclusion of the Third War. His parents carried the infant Isaac with them as they traveled the recovering war-torn continent. While traveling through Feralas en route to Feathermoon Stronghold, the family of three was attacked by the local wildlife. His parents managed to successfully conceal Isaac in the hollow of a tree. However lacking any hiding place for themselves, they were killed in the attack. Any information about Isaac's past or his lineage died with his parents. The only piece of his identity which survived was the name "Isaac" stitched into the blanket his parents wrapped him with in that hollow of the tree.

Isaac was discovered the following day by Robin Windreaver, a former huntress in the Silverwing Sentinels, while she was hunting. Apathetic towards this relatively short-lived creature, Robin intended to leave Isaac and allow fate to take its course. She was swayed when her nightsaber Ari, against Robin's commands, refused to leave the young human. Robin returned from her hunt to her camp in the northern region of Feralas with Isaac.

The following weeks were the most taxing on Robin's patience. Feeding Isaac was not an issue; just a week prior to his arrival, Ari had born a cub and was producing plenty of milk. It was the noise that wore on Robin the most; Isaac was not a quiet child. Living on her own, Robin was unable to leave him unattended for long periods of time and had to carry Isaac on her back during hunts, where his childish giggles regularly defeated the subtlety she had spent millennia perfecting. During the night, Isaac would cry relentlessly for his mother and in response Robin would attempt to comfort him but often without success.

As time went on, life became easier for the unconventional pair. Robin discovered that if she sung Isaac a lullaby, he would sleep through the night without crying. He even learned to stay quiet when taken on hunts. While Robin had been alive for well over a thousand years, motherhood was a stranger to her and she was surprised to find herself genuinely caring for young Isaac.
